Twenty Six Inspiring Stories at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon

On Oct. 20, 2013, 18,000 runners and walkers will support patients at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital with every step they take. Each mile of the marathon is dedicated to a Miracle Mile Patient Champion — a patient at the hospital with a story to inspire. At each mile marker, these courageous kids will be on hand to cheer on the participants and motivate them through their journey.

Molly’s Mile 13
Each year, Nationwide chooses an associate’s son or daughter — a current patient at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital — to sponsor at the race. Nationwide Children’s Hospital has made a big difference in Molly’s life, a 15-year-old type 1 diabetic who will be representing Mile 13. Each patient is encouraged to decorate his or her mile marker, so expect to see lots of smiley faces as you pass by Mile 13!
