13 NASCAR Nationwide Series Teams Donate a Combined $500,000 in Race Car Branding Space to Nationwide Children’s Hospital

During the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 this weekend, NASCAR fans may notice a slight departure from the usual corporate logos that cover each car from roof to wheels. 13 NASCAR teams have donated advertising space valued at more than $500,000 in total to raise awareness for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric care.

In addition to the new car designs and logos, each NASCAR team will be paired with a Patient Champion, a pediatric patient from the NASCAR driver’s hometown. With the help of Nationwide Children’s Hospital medical staff, these Patient Champions faced major health issues and are on their way to recovery. Click through the slideshow to read their stories and check out the custom car designs you'll see on race day.

We hope you’ll check out the inaugural Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 on August 16-17, 2013, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and consider supporting the Nationwide Children’s Hospital mission. Help make a difference today: text KIDS to 50555 to make a one-time $10 donation (standard texting and data rates apply) or click on the logo below:
