During the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 this weekend, NASCAR fans may notice a slight departure from the usual corporate logos that cover each car from roof to wheels. 13 NASCAR teams have donated advertising space valued at more than $500,000 in total to raise awareness for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, anationally recognizedleader in pediatric care.
In addition to the new car designs and logos, each NASCAR team will be paired with a Patient Champion, a pediatric patient from the NASCAR driver’s hometown. With the help of Nationwide Children’s Hospital medical staff, these Patient Champions faced major health issues and are on their way to recovery.
